Welcome to Page Quest. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Cornerstone Apps LLC, a limited liability company organized in Kentucky, USA ("Page Quest", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the Page Quest mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Page Quest. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you may only use the App with the consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf. Page Quest is not directed at or intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. See our Privacy Policy for more information.
To use most features of Page Quest, you must create an account using an email address and password, or through Sign in with Apple. You agree to:
We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your credentials.
The App lets you create and store content such as book notes, quotes, character descriptions, reviews, custom shelves, reading goals, activity feed posts, and book club discussions (collectively, "Your Content").
Ownership. You retain all ownership rights to Your Content. We do not claim any ownership over it.
License to us. By posting or storing Your Content in the App, you grant Page Quest a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, transmit, and process Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the App (for example, syncing your library to your other devices, showing your notes to friends you have connected with, displaying your posts to book clubs you join, or sending book notes and quotes to our AI processing service when you explicitly request an AI summary). This license ends when you delete the content or close your account, except as required to complete pending operations or comply with legal obligations.
Your responsibility. You are solely responsible for Your Content. You represent and warrant that (a) you own or have all necessary rights to the content you post, (b) your content does not violate any third party's rights (including copyright, trademark, or privacy), and (c) your content complies with these Terms and all applicable laws.
When using Page Quest, you agree not to:

Page Quest uses the Anthropic Claude API to generate book summaries and discussion questions when you explicitly request them. You understand and agree that:
Page Quest uses third-party services including Supabase (authentication and data storage), Anthropic (AI features), Apple (Sign in with Apple), Google Books, and Open Library (book metadata). Your use of Page Quest is subject to the applicable terms and privacy policies of these third parties where relevant. We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of these third-party services.
The Page Quest name, logo, Ember the dragon mascot, user interface design, code, and all related content (excluding Your Content) are owned by Cornerstone Apps LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App, except as expressly permitted by these Terms.
Page Quest is currently free to use. In the future, we may introduce optional paid subscriptions or in-app purchases to unlock premium features. When we do, additional terms specific to those purchases will apply and will be disclosed to you in the App before you buy. Any subscription purchased through the App Store is managed under Apple's standard auto-renewable subscription terms. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device settings.
By you. You can stop using Page Quest at any time. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from the Account tab in the App, or by emailing support@pagequestapp.com.
By us. We may suspend or terminate your account, remove your content, or restrict your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, put other users at risk, or are abusing the service. In egregious cases (for example, fraud or serious harm to other users), termination may be immediate and without refund of any prepaid amounts.
Upon termination, your right to use the App ends immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will continue to apply.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OF DATA.
We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at any particular time or location. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content, book metadata, or third-party information. Your use of the App is at your own risk.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Cornerstone Apps LLC AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
In no event will our total liability for all claims relating to the App exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case the above may not apply to you; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cornerstone Apps LLC and its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to (a) your violation of these Terms, (b) your misuse of the App, (c) Your Content, or (d) your infringement of any third party's rights.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the App and may delete your account.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising under or related to these Terms or your use of the App that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Kentucky, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
